I am 26 years old and live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I am passionate about post-quantum cryptography, cryptography that is secure against quantum as well as classical computers. Todays' daily digital communications over the internet use cryptography that is not quantum resistant. We need to prepare for the existence of large-scale quantum computers by migrating to post-quantum cryptography already now. I am following NIST's ongoing Post-Quantum Standardization Process, and my passion for cyber security and cryptography has led me to my position as a Security Engineer in CYBERCRYPT in Copenhagen. At CYBERCRYPT, I work with application-layer encryption in zero-trust environments and contribute to the development of our cryptographic technologies. I love to participate in various conferences, academic as well as industrial. I have a Master in Mathematical Modelling and Computation from the Technical University of Denmark from January 2022.

I have programming experience in languages such as Golang, C, and Python. Currently, I am developing my programming skills in Rust and Java.

When I am not nerdy with cyber security, I am nerdy with my violin which I have played since I was 5 years old, and I have participated in many Danish orchestras as well as competitions. Today, I play in Lyngby-Taarbaek Symphony Orchestra. Furthermore, I love fitness, yoga, and squash.

Experience

Security Engineer at CYBERCRYPT

March 2022 - now

At CYBERCRYPT, I work with application-layer encryption in zero-trust environments and contribute to the development of our cryptographic technologies. One of my projects has been to develop a Symmetric Searchable Encryption feature for our application-layer encryption microservice for cloud workloads. Furthermore, I am currently leading CYBERCRYPT's contribution to a 3 year long research project that aims to prepare EU for the presence of quantum computers. Currently, I am doing research on post-quantum TLS handshakes among other things.
I have represented CYBERCRYPT at conferences such as Eurocrypt as well as BSides København.

Keywords: Post-quantum cryptography, cloud security, zero-trust environments, DevSecOps, Golang, git.

Participant in Women in Security and Cryptography Workshop

September 2021

Participated in Women in Security and Cryptography Workshop for three days together with other female doctoral candidates and female students from the field of IT security. The workshop included talks given by outstanding female speakers as well as group discussions.

Student Assistant at ICY Security

July 2021 - December 2021

Worked as a Student Assistant at ICY Security. I was a part of the Privileged Access Management (PAM) team. I did a research project on different understandings of "break glass" in the context of PAM.

Keywords: PAM, certifications, break glass.

Participant in PwC's Hackschool

April 2021

Participated in PwC's Hackschool 2021. The Hackschool included talks about topics such as GDPR, data compliance, and PAM as well as group discussions.

Junior IT-Security Consultant at Retest Security

October 2020 - June 2021.

Worked as a Junior IT-Security Consultant at Retest Security, where I primarily wrote ReScan X reports presenting results from vulnerability scans.

Keywords: Vulnerability scanning, writing customer reports.

Student Assistant at Hyperdivision

July 2019 - August 2020

During my time as a student assistant at Hyperdivision, I did the following projects:

  • Internship during the Summer 2019: Research on Content Defined Chunking

Researched and analysed techniques for efficient software updates with Content Defined Chunking, specifically Rabin chunking and choosing optimal parameters. Proof of concept implementation in SageMath for finding good parameters (prime number, window size, polynomial degree etc.) Prepared report on the mathematics behind irreducible polynomlials and efficient software implementation.
Keywords: CDC, Rabin, CRC, Irreducible Polynomials, SageMath, Python, Abstract Algebra, git, Github.

  • Documentation website for sodium-friends

Built and organised documentation website for the popular sodium-native and sodium-javascript Node.js modules. Available on https://sodium-friends.github.io/docs.
Keywords: libsodium, statically generated website, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Markdown, Github.

  • Porting multisig-hmac

Porting Emil Bay's Javascript implementation of Multisig HMAC (https://github.com/emilbayes/multisig-hmac) to Python and Java. MultiSig HMAC is a novel, symmetic signature scheme allowing a threshold of signers to form a quorum. Wire compatible with normal HMAC, a popular authentication mechanism in web APIs. Extensive testing of all equivalence classes as unit tests. Fully open-source and available on Github, PyPI and MavenCentral. A website that contains all three versions as well as a security analysis is available on https://hyperdivision.github.io/multisig-hmac-website. Otherwise, the implementations can individually we found on following links:

Keywords: HMAC, SHA-2, Unit Test, Bit Operations, Python, Java, PyPI, Maven, Security Analysis, Git.

  • Node.js CLI upon project about anonymous credentials

Developed a Node CLI upon a project about anonymous credentials, available on https://github.com/AmalieDue/anonymous-credentials-cli. The CLI is an interaction between three parties: A client, an issuer, and a verifier. The idea with anonymous credentials is that an organization (the issuer) only knows the user (client) by pseudonyms. In this way, the privacy of the client is enhanced, since different pseudonyms of the same client cannot be linked.
Keywords: Node.js, Javascript, CLI, Anonymous Credentials, Bash Script, Github

  • Other projects

Assisting with various projects and supporting modules. Sample:

Keywords: Open Source, Node.js, Javascript, Research, APIs
